I am an author and retired Professor of Engineering at Durham University.

 

My scientific interests concern the next generation of electronic devices and systems, particularly those based on organic materials.

 

My latest research book – Electrical Processes in Organic Thin Film Devices - was published by Wiley in 2022.

 

I spend my spare time writing, visiting art galleries and exhibitions, gardening, walking in the Yorkshire Dales and following the fortunes of Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough FCs.
